Merchants Virtual is run by Robert Daubigny. You can reach me at robert@merchantsvirtual.org, or by post at Glebe Corner, Pinfold Lane, St Martins, Stamford, PE9 2LS. I decide how the information described here is handled — in the language of the law, I am the data controller.
Two things. The answers you give in the Business AI Evaluation — what you tell me about your firm. And your name and email address, so I can send the evaluation back and, if you want it, follow up.
To prepare your evaluation and to talk it through with you if you ask me to. Nothing else. I do not sell information, and I do not pass it to anyone else for their own use.
For preparing and sending the evaluation you asked for, I rely on your request for it. For writing to firms like yours in the first place, I rely on what the law calls legitimate interests — a considered judgement that a short, relevant, professional approach is reasonable and easy to decline.
Only me, and the tools I use to run the business, which handle it on my instruction and are required to keep it secure. No one else.
Held securely. If we do not end up working together, I remove your evaluation answers within twelve months, and keep only enough to know not to write to you again if you have asked me not to.
You can ask to see what I hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted. You can tell me to stop writing to you and I will. And if you think I have handled your information badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
The evaluation tells you your answers come to me and no one else. That is the rule, not a turn of phrase. Your answers build your document, and they are used for nothing else.
